Aims of College

The purpose of the school is to give a Christian Education to the youth, as outlined in the Declaration on Christian Education of Vatican 2: The school by virtue of its very purpose, cultivates the intellect with unremitting attention, ripens the capacity for right judgement, promotes a sense of values, and readies for professional life. The college places strong emphasis on academic achievement and on each student attaining his full potential in examinations. Together with catering for the academic needs of the pupils, each teacher endeavours to foster self-discipline, character development and responsible decision-making. The DLS Brothers are committed to the successful implementation of the Education legislation, in particular the Education Act (1998), the Education Welfare Act 2000 and the Equal Status Act 2000. Within the context of the above legislation the school supports the following principles Inclusiveness, particularly with reference to the enrolment of students with a disability or other special educational needs.

Equality with respect to maximum access and participation in the school.

Parental choice in relation to choice of school, having regard for the characteristic spirit of the school.
